Mode of Action

Exirel® activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscles, causing calcium imbalance, muscle paralysis, and death. The product has systemic and translaminar activity, protecting leaves and new shoots. Insects rapidly stop feeding and are controlled at egg, larval, and adult stages.

Application Instructions

  • Apply as a foliar spray according to growth stage and pest monitoring.
  • Optimal timing: during egg laying and early larval stages of moths.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of leaves and fruit surfaces.
  • In IPM programs, avoid more than two consecutive applications and alternate with products of different modes of action.

Key Advantages

  • Broad control of Lepidoptera, Diptera, Cicadidae, and some Coleoptera.
  • Systemic and translaminar activity protects new shoots and lower leaf surfaces.
  • Ovicidal, larvicidal, and adulticidal action.
  • Rainfast after drying.
  • Effective and long-lasting control (14–21 days).
